The department supervises risks, risk reporting, and relevant documentation and offers second opinions on transactions and investment projects.

As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst, you will work with an international team in Hamburg, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Stockholm. Your work will help manage credit risks from renewable projects like the Nordlicht wind park and Vattenfall Group's trading and sales activities.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for a portfolio of assigned counterparties.
• Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to minimize credit losses.
• Allocate credit limits according to the risk mandate.
• Prepare credit recommendations for decision-makers.
• Seek possibilities for credit mitigation and recommend credit conditions.
• Negotiate and administer master netting agreements and credit support documents.
• Analyze complex structured transactions and credit portfolios.
• Perform industry and peer analysis.
• Monitor and report credit risks and engage in various projects within Credit Risk.
• Inform business units about industry, market, and counterparty developments.
• Contribute to improving credit risk management policies, procedures, and tools.

Qualifications

We are seeking a team player with strong communication and relationship-building skills, analytical skills, and decisiveness. You should be able to write credit analyses concisely and clearly and work independently and proactively.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or Economics.
• 5-7 years of experience in an analytical function, preferably in credit risk management within energy markets.
• Experience in counterparties analysis, risk mitigation, and netting agreement negotiation.
• Understanding of cash flow, balance sheet, and profit and loss analysis.
• Knowledge of Investment and Procurement activities and related requirements.
• Understanding of commodity and energy markets.
• Fluency in English is essential for communication and negotiation.
