Job Description:

Joining HPE in a graduate role is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, proactive individual to grow with us and help us drive our continued success globally. You’ll be part of our Graduate Program in High Performance Computing (HPC) part of the business, where you will focus on managing the onsite delivery of software services, pre-sales, post-sales or service delivery support, installation, and configuration for customer environments. You will solve various business systems, networking, and applications problems for standard industry servers, specialized or complex clustered environments.

This role will require the successful candidate to undergo the UK Government Developed Vetting process. Further information on this can be found here.

What You’ll Do:

  • Apply growing technical knowledge to operate a technology area (e.g., server administration, technical security management, performance management) or customer group with limited risk/complexity.
  • Integrate technical knowledge and business understanding to create solutions for customers.
  • Resolve routine in-scope technical incidents independently. Work with team members to resolve more complex incidents.
  • Actively participate in triage and physical repair hardware down to the field replaceable unit.
  • Investigate system issues and, where appropriate, provide a detailed analysis so the problem can be escalated to appropriate deep support.
  • Apply company solutions to meet moderately complex customer needs within area(s) of technical responsibility.
  • Participate in Customer Expectation management as part of the escalation process.
  • Build relationships with management in assigned accounts.
  • Set expectations with customers based on defined parameters.
  • There may be a requirement to participate in a rota system to provide 7x24 standby cover once suitably experienced.

What You’ll Need:

  • Completed Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in either 2024 or 2025 in any of the STEM subjects.
  • Experience in troubleshooting in a technical environment.
  • Superior stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Software and hardware knowledge of computing, storage, and peripheral devices.
  • A full UK driving licence would be an advantage; however, the successful candidate would be expected to hold a driving licence within a year.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-moving environment.

  • Comfort with working in a virtual and face-to-face environment. Exceptional communication and presentation skills and the ability to ask smart questions.
