Within the DNP Global Distribution Centre (GDC) in Venlo, we are looking for a motivated Global Supply & Inventory Planner.

The Global Distribution Centre (GDC) in Venlo, with its main site and 3 specialized warehouses, serves as both the Global and European Distribution Centre and Back-Office for DNP. Over 90 suppliers worldwide send more than 1,100 different articles to the GDC. Goods are pulled by DNP regions, Premix Sites, and end-customers, with orders fulfilled from GDC stock or managed by the Global Back Office for direct shipments from production. The GDC is critical for DSM and DNP, balancing complex supply flows while meeting the growing demand for lower Operating Working Capital.

In this position, you will manage the inventory of the intermediates & finished goods at the GDC Venlo and coordinate the deployment of these inventories throughout the network (including direct shipments) to either the Regional Distribution Centres or the Local Distribution Centres.

You ensure uninterrupted flow of goods to/at/from the GDC in line with the DSM/DNP requirements, management directives, legal regulations, and DNP supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage replenishment requirements (Production sites and external Vendors) and supply balancing on a global basis supporting the Global Supply Planning organization.
• Manage short-term supply issues and/or execute and prioritize the Global Allocation process in cooperation with Commercial Management and Global Supply Management
• Enforce adherence to Management directives/SHE compliance/MOC/legal regulations for goods received, stored, and shipped in/from Global DC.
• Monitor and improve logistical flow incl. direct shipments.
• Monitor and follow-up on batch statuses. Coordination of re-labeling activities and returns-to-vendor.
• Support direct shipment process from both internal and external suppliers.
• Set-up standard process solutions for all various kinds of process flows, and make sure this can be handled in our ERP-system (SAP/R3).

Coordination and Communication

• Due to the fact that the Global Supply & Inventory Planning department is in the middle of the supply chain they are the “spider in the web” and as a result a lot of communication is going via this department.
• First point of contact for all GDC departments and Logistic Service Providers of main warehouse and specialized warehouses on product-related aspects.
• Main point of contact for production sites and external vendors to execute ordering process and non-compliances with incoming goods.

You Bring

• A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics, Supply Chain Management, or APICS-CPIM certification.
• At least 5 years of experience in distribution or inventory management within an international environment.
• Strong knowledge of Demand & Supply Chain planning, with experience using SAP ERP, SAP APO, and tools like Every Angle and BW as an asset.
• Highly developed communication, cooperation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make and implement decisions.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken), with proficiency in German, French, or Spanish as a plus.
• Proven ability to solve problems by offering practical solutions.
