The Rookie Program

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for an internship you must be:

  • Enrolled in a Dutch University (not online) in a Bachelor or a Master for the entire duration of the program (full 5 months)
  • An EU citizen passport holder OR a Non-EU Citizen studying in the Netherlands (internship should be a mandatory part of your curriculum)

As an Under Armour intern, you'll play a crucial role in bringing our mission and vision to life through a hands-on project that challenges you to develop new skills and push boundaries. This strategic project will test your skills and help you challenge the status quo, making a real business impact during your 5-month internship.

Alongside this project, you'll work closely with a mentor and cross-functional teams, gaining valuable global exposure and collaborating with talented professionals from across the company. With access to executive Q&A sessions and personalized guidance from our talent advisors, you'll be well-equipped to tackle any challenge that comes your way.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to participate in our Teammate Resource Groups, where you can share experiences, build relationships, and grow as a team. You will also step inside the exciting world of retail and explore the fast-paced environment that keeps our customers coming back for more.

Purpose of Role

As an integral part of our Human Resources team, this internship will focus on enhancing the teammate experience across all levels of the organization. You will contribute to various HR projects related to benefits, compensation, and HR Business Partner (HRBP) initiatives. This position aligns with Under Armour’s purpose and values, emphasizing a commitment to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and ethical workplace where teammates are engaged, empowered, and equipped to excel.

Your Impact

  • Enhance the Teammate Experience: Support a variety of HR projects that contribute to overall satisfaction and engagement of teammates, including initiatives related to benefits, compensation, and workplace wellness.
  • Drive Inclusive Workplace Practices: Contribute to projects that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) by helping to create an environment where all teammates feel valued and supported. This includes assisting with communication plans and DE&I awareness campaigns that foster a culture of respect and belonging.
  • Support Strategic HRBP Initiatives: Work closely with HR Business Partners on initiatives that align HR strategies with business goals. Gain exposure to projects that strengthen talent management, performance, and teammate development to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Promote Effective Communication and Engagement: Assist in designing and implementing communication campaigns that keep teammates informed and engaged, ensuring a consistent understanding of Under Armour’s values and initiatives. Measure and analyze the impact of these campaigns to continuously enhance effectiveness.
  • Contribute to a Culture of Excellence and Integrity: Aid in reviewing policies and contributing to HR programs that reinforce Under Armour’s commitment to ethical practices. This includes supporting training initiatives that address critical workplace topics and promote a culture of accountability and mutual respect.

Education and Experience

  • Currently enrolled in studies in HR, Project Management, or Social Sciences.
  • Some prior experience, either personal or professional, is preferred.

Additional Skills and Attributes

  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Some experience in project management, ideally involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide recommendations based on analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a talent for listening and asking thoughtful questions.
  • Ability to work effectively across different functions, including HR, Communications, Events, and Employee Resource Groups.
