Royal IHC is currently recruiting a Product Owner Digital Operations for our corporate headquarters in Kinderdijk.

As Product Owner Digital Operations, you will report directly to the Manager Digital and work closely with your digital colleagues and other departments. You are accountable for maximizing the value of the delivery of the digital products on the vessels and assets of IHC. IHC digital department is realizing the Digital Strategy of IHC we are growing and transforming to digitize the maritime industry. As a Product Owner Digital Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing, implementing, and optimizing our digital operations initiatives. Your role will involve coordinating, evaluating, and enhancing both existing and new digital product delivery processes to ensure they align with our business goals and deliver value. You will work in an agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation. You will be involved in testing, creating Epics, User Stories, and functional requirements together with your colleagues

Your key responsibilities as Product Owner:

  • Study internal and external developments, ensure development, transfer and retention of knowledge and build and maintain expertise network.
  • Collect, select, structure, combine and interpret external and internal data, information and developments.
  • (Co)develop policies, procedures and guidelines within the own area of expertise in line with the IHC strategy.
  • Formulate and present possible solution directions to stakeholders and issue advice at request or at own initiative.
  • Coordinate implement and/or optimize work & order processes, techniques and systems in line with policies within the own area of expertise.
  • Continuously evaluate organisational design, (work)processes and systems and initiate and implement changes and improvements within the own area of expertise.
  • Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative Digital operations by means of periodical and ad hoc reports and/or analyses.
  • Define, plan, manage, co-ordinate and/or participate in an assigned (portfolio of) projects to ensure execution and delivery.
  • Proactively Initiate, build and maintain a network of relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Behave in line with safety rules, regulations, procedures, instructions, guidelines, and awareness, including addressing anomalies to others

To be successful in this position you:

  • Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Have a strong understanding of digital operations and process optimization.
  • Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Have an hands-on mentality with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Have demonstrated experience with agile methodologies and tools.
  • Have knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Design Thinking is a plus.

  • A gross monthly salary between €3.720,- and €6.082,- +8% holiday allowance (based on a fulltime working week).
