As of February 2025 our Buying department in Hilversum (close to Amsterdam) is looking for a passionate intern. You’ll run through our “Best internship in Retail” and learn on the job while support the team withfollowing:

• You will be involved in all phases of the product development cycle, including: testing; how tofit and achieve a fit for purpose product for all HKM product types and working closelytogether with Buying, Design teams and the HKM suppliers
• You will be helping to send technical comments out to our suppliers
• Assist taking comments in weekly fitting session(s) including VC (Video Conference) callswith our international suppliers
• Organize and manage the weekly fit calendar in conjunction with our buying department and suppliers, in line with the seasonal critical path management
• Measure and monitor the HKM fit model measurements on a weekly basis
• After fitting sessions, compile and send out supplier comments with technical diagrams and photos within required critical path time frame
• Monitor and complete the sample management overview
• Assist with other departmental tasks

YOUR PROFILE:

• You are passionate about product and have an eye for detail
• You can multi-task
• You have a strong interest and knowledge in product understanding, product fabrication & finishing
• A proactive approach to the role is really important as we are a fast fashion company. Youthink outside the box, are solution driven, you have a flexible approach, and you are up for a challenge!
• You are enrolled in a Bachelor/ Masters (TMO, AMFI, Saxion) level studies with the focus on fabrics, making & finishing a product
• You will ideally have already finished your first semesters
• You are fluent in English (written & spoken) with a keen interest in retail to complete yourprofile

Eligibility:

For this internship, you need to be available for 5 months starting in February 2025. Please notethat your application will only be considered if you are enrolled at a school or university for the fullduration of the internship. Additionally, to comply with Dutch law, one of the following must apply:

• You are an EU citizen,
• You are on a Family/Partner visa, or
• You are a non-EU student studying in the Netherlands, AND the internship is a mandatorypart of your curriculum.

* Please be aware that not all our entry level position will meet the minimum salary required by theIND for sponsoring by Hunkemöller.
