About the Service Desk

The Service Desk is designed to support all sold Ampelmann systems and deliver outstanding service to our clients according to our service agreements. It acts as a central hub for handling sales and service requests and ensuring smooth communication between Ampelmann and its clients. This department plays an important role in maintaining customer satisfaction by promptly addressing any issues or concerns raised by clients. Additionally, the Service Desk coordinates with various internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely solutions and uphold the quality of service promised to clients. The Service Desk sets the standard for services and policies regarding sold systems.

Your role as Account Manager

As Account Manager you will handle all daily work within the Service Desk, and you’ll be responsible for the clients in your portfolio as first point of contact for our sold systems worldwide. You will be working closely with various internal & external stakeholders, such as Sales Support, Business Development Managers, Supply Chain, Project Managers and the rental organizations. Currently, the Service Desk consist of 1 Manager, 1 Sales Support and you’ll be the first Account Manager. Being a new role within the company, you have the unique opportunity to shape its direction, revolutionizing how we manage our sold systems data and services, streamlining processes and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction across all service-related activities.

Regular activities

  • Being the main point of contact for your clients by proactively contacting them and managing daily Service Desk operations such as handling global service inquiries or responding to emails/queries.
  • Performing after-sales/upselling activities focused on upgrades, spare parts, services and maintenance.
  • Liaise with internal or external stakeholders and support Business Development during the sales process.
  • Keep your administrative responsibilities up to date and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Travel to customers (mainly located in Europe) to build strong relationships.

We ask

  • HBO, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in account management, business administration, engineering or relevant studies
  • 2-3 years of experience, preferably as Account Manager within a technical (engineering) or technical sales/commercial environment
  • Proactiveness, solution-oriented mindset, dedication to customer satisfaction and service excellence
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Diligent and commercially driven with a focus on long-term success
  • Proficient English language skills
