Van Oord is at the forefront of the energy transition to renewable energy through the construction of offshore wind projects. As a Project Planner, you will be an integral part of the project team, responsible for planning project execution. We are seeking an experienced Project Planner for various international offshore energy projects.

Your Impact

As a Project Planner, you will provide planning and project control support to the project management team to successfully plan and progress the preparation and execution of projects. You will collaborate with the project team, consortium partners, and (sub)contractors, proactively advising on time, progress, resource management, opportunities, and risks. This is a multifaceted, responsible role where your knowledge and ingenuity contribute to successful project completion. Your typical tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining, updating, and progressing contract planning, considering work aspects like logic, resource planning, cash flows, and uncertainties;
• Creating transparency and overview with clear visuals using Gantt charts, time-distance diagrams, storyboards, and 4D-plans;
• Advising project management on strategic project direction and providing "what if" scenarios when necessary;
• Delivering reliable progress reports during the project duration;
• Initiating and leading brainstorming and workshop-type meetings, such as planning reviews and Rehearsals of Concept (ROC).

Our planning department is dedicated to the development and expansion of knowledge in planning, risk, systems engineering, and information management. Your expertise will be highly valued, and you will have opportunities for broader development. You will join a team of around 35 planners committed to combining knowledge and expertise with the ambition to further professionalize our departments. Our team includes motivated risk, planning, systems engineering, process, and information management professionals who think and act beyond the borders of their own expertise.

About You

You have strong communication skills and believe in combining multiple disciplines for better results. Creating and maintaining a clear overview is your passion, and you are adept at translating complex matters into understandable insights. Additionally, you have:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree;
• At least 6 years of experience in planning within the industry;
• Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written;
• Experience in developing project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, TILOS, or MS Project;
• Full-time availability (minimum 32 hours) and willingness to travel regularly to our offices in Rotterdam and Gorinchem;
