Join our Submarines Team to be a part of designing, building, testing, and commissioning the largest and most advanced submarines ever operated by the Royal Navy. Work alongside our Astute Class and Dreadnought Class Submarines to provide a powerful and secure deterrent for the United Kingdom 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You could be the difference.
This is a place where you’ll be able to make a real difference. You’ll be part of an inclusive culture that values diversity, rewards integrity and merit, and where you’ll be empowered to fulfil your potential. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and particularly from sections of the community who are currently underrepresented within our industry, including women, ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ individuals.
As a Site Engineering Authority (SEA) (Nuclear) graduate, you will be joining an exciting and expanding team to provide management, governance and assurance to the BAE Barrow site nuclear assets and buildings. As an SEA graduate, you will be tasked with providing general engineering oversight to both identified risks and emergent issues as well as being heavily involved in the Site Redevelopment Programme and associated projects. As part of this team, you will play a key role in ensuring the nuclear assets are safe, legal and compliant – both to BAE standards and external governing bodies.
Within the Site Engineering Authority (Nuclear), you will also support both current and future boat built programmes throughout the full lifecycle to ensure asset and building availability for key deadlines and programme milestones.
This opportunity provides an extremely varied workload with engagement of stakeholders at all levels of the business and the ability to fully understand how the work we do contributes to ensuring a safe, legal and compliant nuclear site.
As a minimum requirement, you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant STEM subject, including but not limited to Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, Nuclear, or Civil Engineering.
