Join Our Team as a Solution Architect at Rabobank

Picture yourself designing a continuously evolving self-service API Management platform that will be used by hundreds of teams within Rabobank. Imagine being recognized as an expert on API Management within the organization and designing a framework for governing standards and guardrails for API Management and other capabilities.

Interact with both providers and consumers of services hosted on your platform and work closely with the Product Owner and engineers to constantly improve the platform. Be part of a team of architects who are jointly responsible for all integration platforms at Rabobank.

At Rabobank, we operate numerous applications that exchange data or interact with each other in various ways, which we refer to as application integration. Over the years, technology and organizational developments have substantially improved these interactions. We strive to embed application integration into our corporate philosophy and operating model, where teams work mostly autonomously. This requires a fresh outlook on application integration, with central integration platforms offering self-service for both providers and consumers.

Role and Responsibilities

• Co-design and maintain the self-service API Management platform.
• Design and maintain the governance framework and processes for standards and guardrails.
• Co-create designs and roadmaps for your platform.
• Ensure the platform continuously evolves to meet business requirements, principles, policies, and regulations.
• Interact with stakeholders of your platform, both as a consultant and to gather requirements.
• Interact with internal and external suppliers of platform components.
• Coordinate the work of your team as part of a team, along with the product owner, scrum master, and tech representative.
• Coach engineers in technological expertise and behavior.

Requirements

Within the Area Integration, we value autonomy, open communication, resilience to change, alignment, and transparency. Good (verbal and written) communication skills are crucial for this position.

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (ICT).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an engineer within the field of application integration.
• Experience with agile/scrum methodologies.
• Experience with cloud technologies.
• Good understanding of networking.
• Good understanding of self-service platform dynamics.
• Have a zero-trust security mindset.
• Good understanding of Identity and Access Management, ideally also for non-personal accounts.
• Good understanding of Secrets Management.
• Good understanding of logging & monitoring.
• Good analytical skills.
• Prepared to take ownership.
• Prepared to challenge.
• Prepared to cooperate.

• Based on your experience: up to a max of €90,000, including all benefits (40 hours).
• Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance.
• An extra budget of 11% of your gross salary for use at your discretion.
• A budget of €750 to set up your home working space and a monthly home working allowance of up to €40.
• A personal development budget of €1,400.
• A combination of working from home and at the office.
• 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport.
