As a Demand Planner, you are responsible for developing the sales forecast, reporting on actual sales, and translating this data into the sales plan, which is then converted into a demand plan for the Supply Planner. You will work closely with the Supply Planner, ensuring that your latest insights guide their decision-making, help set priorities, and adjust supply plans as needed. You'll be part of a motivated team of two people. In this role, you will interact with various departments across the organization. Your input is valued, with a strong focus on improving the S&OP process. Focus on contributing to building the S&OP roadmap for the coming year. 🗺️

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze actual sales versus the sales plan (evaluate forecast performance).
  • Determine baseline forecast based on historical data.
  • Discuss and challenge actual sales and the sales plan with Sales Directors/Key Account Managers, identifying risks and opportunities within the sales plan.
  • Enhance the baseline forecast with market trends, NPD, and (macro)economic developments, resulting in a regional sales forecast.
  • Constantly review the sales plan with the Supply Planner.
  • Review the sales plan with the financial plan.
  • Identify gaps in sales volume and value to meet business plans.
  • Review actual orders against business plans—discuss discrepancies and make necessary adjustments.
  • Propose adjustments to sales plans based on data, market insights, New Product Development, and supply input.
  • Create different sales scenarios based on potential (market) changes (such as price increase or economic changes).
  • Ensure alignment between the sales plan and assortment plan (including product management review and follow-up).
  • Determine needed brand materials volumes (such as packaging material).
  • Initiate and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain department.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Academic qualification/Master’s degree in Logistics and Operations, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a similar relevant degree.
  • Knowledge of Finance (Margins, Days of Payables Outstanding, Turnover).
  • > 1 year relevant work experience in demand planning or supply chain planning.
  • You are fluent in English. Proficiency in French and Dutch is an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and preferably in Qliksense.
  • You are able to translate given qualitative market insights into quantitative information.
  • Critical towards data and input – able to challenge sales actuals, forecast, and sales plan.
  • Excellent analytical skills, detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Organized and structured.
