Senior Frontend Software Engineer

As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, you'll be at the heart of a dynamic platform team driving the evolution of the technology platform which powers Eneco websites. From design to infrastructure, you’ll own the full spectrum of our web presence. Your keen eye for interaction patterns, web architecture, usability, code quality, and accessibility will be key as you collaborate closely with analysts, designers, architects, marketers, and fellow developers to create solutions we can all be proud of.

Key Responsibilities

• Further developing Eneco's websites with a focus on usability, responsiveness, and performance.
• Developing Single Page Applications with React and Next.js.
• Bringing innovations to production faster and making them more stable (CI/CD).
• Keeping the websites and parts you build operational (DevOps).
• You will work in an agile/scrum environment encouraging initiative and individual growth.

Experience and Qualifications

• At least 5 years of work experience building high-performing micro frontend websites.
• Relevant frontend experience working with JavaScript (ES6, ES7), React (Redux), Webpack, Post CSS/Sass, Playwright/Cypress/Jest, Git, NodeJS
• Experience with CMS systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills, you are proactive and comfortable with taking initiative
• Experience working as part of a platform team, you are service-minded with excellent analytical skills to understand challenges and propose solutions
• Excellent communication skills in English
• You need to be currently based in the Netherlands to apply for this opportunity.

You will join the Web Foundation team which is responsible for the platforms, systems, and processes which affect all the product teams. You will contribute to the common architecture and drive initiatives which improve the overall technical quality of the Eneco websites. A couple of examples of the responsibility areas of the Foundation team are the Design System and CMS we use for our websites.
