At kennek, we’re on a mission to modernise the $2 trillion private lending industry.

We’re determined to help lenders digitise their business and automate their operations with the lending toolkit of the future: a vertical SaaS for all types of lenders. We launched in the summer of 2021 and have since grown our team to over 25 kennekters, mostly in London. Our customer base is expanding rapidly & we’ve got some world-class venture capital investors backing us.

Background

For the past decades, increasing regulatory pressures on banks have reduced their lending to the real economy, especially to small & medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Many ‘non-bank lenders’ such as peer-to-peer platforms, specialist lending companies, and credit funds have filled the void. However, most of these lenders operate in an old-fashioned way. Data is not connected or centralised, workflows are manual and usually time-consuming, costly, and prone to human error.

This is where kennek comes in.

We’ve created a vertically integrated SaaS that streamlines and automates the operations of lenders, bringing together all the lending calculations, operations, and workflows onto a single user-friendly platform.

The kennek system captures all the data relating to loans and borrowers and serves as a single point of truth for the lenders and ultimately for the entire ecosystem.

What The Job Involves

  • Leading the timely implementation of new client onboarding through project management of all stakeholders involved.
  • Communicating priorities and timelines effectively, internally and externally, with key stakeholders on the progress of client onboardings.
  • Co-ordinating with internal teams (sales, engineering, product) to ensure all project milestones are met.
  • Gaining an in-depth knowledge of the unstructured finance industry and the kennek platform.
  • Participating in the presales phase; organising and facilitating demonstrations and deep discovery meetings to outline project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Continuously reviewing and improving the client onboarding process to enhance efficiency and client experience.

Who You Are

  • You have 2+ years of proven experience working in client onboarding roles, preferably in a SaaS/PaaS environment.
  • You have worked with vendors in the fintech space, preferably in the regulated/unregulated credit area.
  • You enjoy making decisions and being responsible for them. You see challenges and not problems, you prefer solutions over obstacles.
  • You are MS proficient (e.g., SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and JiRa/Confluence.
  • You are able to clearly and precisely communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders.
  • You enjoy working on multiple tasks in parallel and can switch between them as needed.
  • You are a storyteller that can take the audience on the journey.
  • You have a natural interest in technology and are eager to learn about technical aspects of the platform/projects.
  • Certification (Scrum Master/Prince 2) is a plus.
  • SQL and API experience is a plus.
