HSE Manager - Vlissingen

For our shipyard in Vlissingen, we are looking for an HSE Manager. In this challenging role, you contribute to ensuring an optimal level of safety and health at the shipyard. You also ensure that Damen Yachting complies with legal environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Work in a constantly changing project environment and be familiar with the implementation of ISO certification.
• Develop and implement HSE strategies, policies, and initiatives in alignment with the organization's objectives.
• Stimulate organizational changes in line with the values and objectives of Damen Yachting.
• Determine and establish, in consultation, the appropriate methods concerning health and the environment to tackle HSE issues.

Skills and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Higher Safety Science with proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a similar industry.
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, in both writing and speaking.
• Pragmatic in problem-solving and open to the continuous improvement of policies and processes.
• Able to switch quickly and be inventive.
• Capable of weighing safety and organizational interests and providing considered advice.

Additional Information: The HSE Manager operates within the HSSEQ department and reports hierarchically to the HSSEQ Manager. In this role, you interact daily with all levels within the organization, from the shop floor to the division level. The workplace for this role is stationed in Vlissingen.
