Then we would like to talk to you about the position of Fleet Controller within the business unit Boskalis Subsea Cables.

Your responsibilities as a Fleet Controller Subsea Cables:

In the role of Fleet Controller, you are the sparring partner and the financial conscience for the equipment exploitation of business unit Boskalis Subsea Cables. Together with the Offshore Energy divisional Fleet Management team, you control and report on the business unit’s vessels, subsea cable burial tools and related equipment. Responsibilities include:

  • Financial control of the operational exploitation and asset investments;
  • Budgeting and planning: preparation and discussion of forecasts with operational managers;
  • Calculation of business cases for new investments and asset modifications;
  • Cost price and norm rate calculations;
  • Conducting site visits during major investments and mobilizations;
  • Facilitation of internal and external financial audits;
  • Periodical & ad-hoc reporting to business unit management.

Your Qualities

You can make your mark as a Fleet Controller Subsea Cables if you have:

  • You have successfully completed a financial education, preferably focused on Controlling or similar: Bachelor degree in the field of Economics, Business Administration, Accountancy, Control or equivalent;
  • You have several years of experience as a Financial or Fleet Controller in an international environment, preferably in the maritime industry;
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and/or English language, both in word and in writing;
  • You are a team player who works well with colleagues from different (non-financial) disciplines;
  • You are able to connect and act as a sparring partner for various stakeholders (e.g. technical superintendents, project teams and business unit management);
  • You have strong analytical skills, you are goal-oriented and are able to work under pressure;
  • You have an affinity with IT / ERP systems (e.g. MS Excel, Infor LN, Vena, Power BI).

Extra information

  • Your team: You will be a part of a team of 14 Controllers within the Subsea Cables business unit.
  • Where you will work: For office-based roles, in consultation with your manager and your team, you work partly at home and partly in the Papendrecht Head Office.
  • Full/part-time: The position of Fleet Controller Subsea Cables is a full-time (40 hours a week) role.
