Social Media Executive

Work location: Hounslow / Uxbridge, London

We are looking for a dedicated and creative Social Media Executive with a passion for automotive innovation to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding across the full spectrum of social media channels along with a desire to grow and maintain our on-line presence and community.

Reporting to the Senior Digital Marketing Specialist the role will be responsible for the following:-

Key Responsibilities:

1. Social Media Strategy:
   • Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive engagement and increase followers.
   • Analyse social media metrics and insights to optimise performance and identify current trends and opportunities.
2. Content Creation:
   • Assist in the development of compelling and engaging content focused on BYD UK's passenger car range for social media platforms, including our UK Facebook & Instagram channels and supporting our European LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube.
   • Collaborate with the marketing team to create content calendars tailored to our followers and potential customers. Leading content shoots with our creative agency.
3. Event Support and Engagement:
   • Attend and support industry events, representing BYD UK and actively engaging with attendees.
   • Post live updates, share experiences, and interact with the public during events to enhance brand visibility and foster community connections.
4. Campaign Management:
   • Plan and execute social media campaigns focused on promoting BYD UK's latest electric car models, features, and events.
   • Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies as needed to ensure successful reach and engagement with target audiences.
5. Community Management:
   • Along with our social media agency, support the monitoring and responses to comments, messages, and inquiries related to BYD UK's electric cars across all social media platforms.
   • Foster engagement with followers, influencers, and online communities to build brand awareness and loyalty.
6. Collaboration:
   • Coordinate with the sales, customer service, and product development teams to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency across all channels.
   • Work closely with the PR team to identify and collaborate with influencers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOI) in the automotive industry.
   • Coordinate influencer campaigns to create authentic content and amplify BYD UK's electric car messaging across their audiences.

Your profile:

• Experience in managing social media platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in social media analytics tools (Brandwatch & Meta Business) and ability to derive actionable insights to enhance marketing strategies.
• Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.

• UK driving license.
• Has right-to-work in the UK.
