APAC Prime D1 Middle Office Analyst

As a Barclays APAC Prime D1 Middle Office Analyst, you will have an exciting chance to be collaborating with the team covering day-to-day support activities. You will support with the design and the implementation of projects. Middle Office Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the control framework existing at the IB is applied to all trading activity and mitigates all errors quickly and efficiently through dedicated reconciliation and control monitoring. What will you be doing?

• Providing support to Delta 1 trading desk on Products include but not limited to Equity Swaps, Index Swaps, Listed Futures, Synthetic Futures, ETF Creation/Redemption, NDFs, Deliverable Forward
• Monitoring control reports, exceptions, and queries and making sure they are resolved in a timely manner
• Being responsible for monitoring life-cycling including corporate action events and their effect on derivatives
• Collaborating with Trading, Product Control, Settlements, and other Operation teams on resolving queries
• Actively questioning and challenging existing practices /procedures and making improvement suggestions
• Engaging with Project and IT teams on all projects and UAT sessions

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or equivalent
• Equity and derivative experience in trade support /middle office function preferably Prime
• Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) in English and Chinese, experience dealing with traders and management
• Driven, with the ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines with excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Experience in SME in Asia equities, ETF, equity derivatives, FX
• Experience in delivering change at pace and a continuous improvement mindset
• Possess an excellent risk, control mindset as a team player with ability to work autonomously and independently

Our offices are situated in the center of Hong Kong’s financial district, at 2 Queen’s Road.
Cheung Kong Centre is an investment banking hub that offers panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and Kowloon Peninsula. There is a variety of local amenities and you will be just a short walk from shopping malls, health clubs and multiple transport links.
