Internship Description

Are you a student passionate about making a positive impact on the world? Do you want to gain valuable hands-on experience in the agri-food sector and international development? If so, an internship with SNV's Global Agri-Food Team (GATe) could be the perfect opportunity for you!

What You'll Gain:

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills and knowledge while making a real contribution to our ongoing projects. We will work closely with you to align your tasks and activities with your specific learning objectives. This will ensure that you get the most out of your internship and really learn something that fits in with your future plan

Tasks and activities:

  • Analyse qualitative data from diverse projects to assess their impact at scale.
  • Assist with research and report writing (working papers, monitoring reports).
  • Identify insights, trends, and opportunities for improving project design and delivery based on data analysis.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to communicate complex findings effectively.
  • Contribute to knowledge management activities and administrative tasks (as needed).

We're looking for a passionate student:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program at an accredited EU university with a focus on fields pertinent to our work, like Data Science, Agriculture, or International Development
  • Analytical skills and a passion for data
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook and Teams preferred)
  • A desire to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment

  • Internship agreement: 4-6 month duration
  • Work schedule: 24 to 32 hours per week
  • Allowance: Gross €500 per month, plus reimbursement of public transport costs (if you are not able to use the public transport student card)
