Internship South East Europe business

INTERNSHIP

For this Internship, GAR seeks an Intern that will become a part of the GAR South East European trading team in the Netherlands. You will assist the team in all commercial and operational activities undertaken in Europe. Ultimately, you will be building market knowledge by identifying and developing business opportunities, new clients and business plans for further expanding the commercial footprint.

During the course of the internship, you will learn to understand the products, markets and the entire supply chain; from European end consumer all the way back to storage, shipping, refining and origination. You will be interacting with various internal and external counterparts in order to understand the steps, information flows and dependencies in the supply chain, which the European distribution as a key focus.

During the first part of the Internship, you will first join the sales and operations team in the Netherlands who are responsible for our Italian program, which implies that Italian and English language are necessary. You will focus initially on transportation, storage and logistic planning of palm oil from the Italian ports to the local customers in Italy and Rest of Europe. After that, you will slowly move towards supply chain discussion and trade support roles. Lastly, you will be focused on developing business plans based on your studies to seize new opportunities and establish a consolidated market Intel. You must be both a support to the daily trading activities, mainly in logistics, and show initiative in the pursuit of your thesis.

DURATION

The Internship is minimum 3 months and maximum 6 months.
