Internship assignment 2: Modular XYZ gantry

VDL Fibertech Industries is always looking to improve productivity by automating tasks. In most of these situations a robot or gantry would be needed to automate the task. These tasks do not require the freedom of movement a robot arm offers but are required to have high accuracy and repeatability. Internship assignment 2: Modular XYZ gantry

The company

Do you want to work with innovative materials for high-tech applications in various markets? Are you a hard worker who likes to think along within a dynamic and highly inspired production environment? With an enthusiastic and driven team of around 100 colleagues, we at VDL Fibertech Industries investigate the technical possibilities of composites (carbon and glass fiber reinforced plastic). For what applications can you use it? Which production method is best for this? How can you industrialize it further? We make patient tabletops for X-ray and MRI equipment and accessories for the medical sector. We also develop and produce high-tech machine parts and lightweight composite parts for the automotive industry, defense and aviation. At VDL Fibertech Industries you are physically working on a product, the work is varied and the atmosphere is open and informal.

Who are we looking for?

• You have a Bachelor or master background in chemical or mechanical engineering;
• You are driven, ambitious, entrepreneurial and eager to learn;
• You are motivated and know how to work on your assignment both independently and in a team.
