Junior Software Engineer

As a Junior Software Engineer, you’ll work in a collaborative scrum team consisting of talented Software Engineers and Software Engineers in Test. You will work on a mix of traditional and innovative global security-based projects that strengthen our CA, Key Provision solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• As we thrive on writing clean, high-quality code, you will regularly use static code analysis, coverage metrics, do code reviews and assist in your code being reviewed.
• Foster a professional engineering culture and help to grow our standards, by keeping your industry knowledge on software development up-to-date and spread that in the organization.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to define and implement the software requirements.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and designs, coding, unit testing and some test automation (including the occasional performance testing and tuning).
• Develop, improve, maintain and document clean code, in an agile manner, as part of a Scrum Team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve development processes.

Skills and experience we expect

• An obtained BSc / MSc Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar field.
• Knowledge of Embedded C, Assembly, Linker Scripts, Makefiles, Python, Jenkins, Coverity.
• Familiar with the software development life cycle.
• Experience in agile development working environment.
• Be familiar with working in a continuous integration environment and taking initiative.
• Some experience in the conditional access or media protection environment domain is a plus.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within scope.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and what is required for a job.
• Highly organized, thorough, and motivated professional.
• Proficient English communication skill.
