Tax Manager

You steer the further growth in the right direction, while continuously considering the right balance between optimization and compliance. vidaXL operates in various countries. Procurement takes place mainly in Asia and sales mainly throughout Europe, Australia, and the United States. A great challenge lies ahead of you as you will be responsible for the global indirect and direct tax processes and positions. As an all-around Tax Manager, you bring in a ‘hands-on mentality’ and an ability to fulfill an international advisor role. The Tax Manager will directly report to the Group Controller.

What you will be doing

• Support in setting out medium- and long-term tax strategy, given international, regional, and country-specific tax developments in conjunction with the evolution of the business.
• Enhance and maintain the master and local Transfer Pricing files including Country by country reporting.
• Interact with external tax advisors on local tax files, building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analysis of the impact of global tax developments and trends on the governance and compliance responsibilities of the group
• Invent and roll out a global tax control framework and ensures tax compliance for direct and indirect taxes like CIT, VAT, and environmental taxes.
• Accurate and timely declarations for direct and indirect taxes like CIT, VAT, and environmental taxes

Must haves:

• University degree in Tax Law of Tax Economics.
• Four to eight years of international and (in)direct tax experience at a major and international accounting or law firm or multinational.
• Hands on, pragmatic, and with an eye for details
• Strong communication skills and a high sense of ownership.
• Team player, result-driven, strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Some travel may be required in the long term.
