ABB is transforming into a customer-centric, product-led sustainable mobility company, looking for motivated and passionate individuals to join our team. The newly created ABB E-mobility marketing and communications organization will drive this experience through brand purpose: We support our customers to electrify mobility. It is our responsibility to position ABB E-mobility as a reliable partner and authority in the industry. Your Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team lead Product Marketing Manager lead for our HW and SW product marketing team. First and foremost, you are the voice of the customer, you understand what value realization is for the customer and the business. You will team up with product and sales to define the GTM strategy. You are outcome-driven, not output-driven, and will need to bring this mindset to each customer segment of the program. You are responsible for the creation and distribution of the core value position from HW to SW, communicating this position inside the company to products and sales and outside the company to key customers and influencers. You lead the product marketing inputs in our development cycle, constantly closing the gap to create the best customer experience. Reports to: Chris Thompson (Product & Portfolio Marketing)

Your responsibilities

  • Digital Transformation – being able to lead a team through digital transformation, with a growth mindset
  • Talking to customers - Conduct comprehensive user and market research, including competitor analysis, to identify market trends, understand persona, and uncover unknown opportunities
  • Being the ambassador that connects customer and market insights. Segmenting customers, knowing what delights them and knowing the frustrations and problems of customers that drive them to seek something new and start that journey to become ABB E-mobility customers
  • Be the leading partner in go-to-market (GTM) processes. Establish and maintain strong inter-team relationships to construct a product marketing plan that links all relevant sales and marketing activities needed to hit sales and product targets.
  • Evangelize your program, finding the most meaningful messages for our customers and creating the powerful stories that influence analysts, reports, and key decision-makers

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Marketing Engineering, or a related discipline). A Master's degree is a plus.
  • 8-12 years of proven experience in product marketing/product management preferably B2B/B2C in a tech/platform capacity
  • Specializing in software and electronic hardware in automotive, energy management and mobility services a plus
  • Start-up or consultant experience a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Assemble program intelligence that assists with our product positioning, identifies growth opportunities, and helps us prepare for partner discussions. 
  • Drive customer-facing and sales-facing messaging and positioning 
  • Work at both the strategic and tactical levels
  • Test and refine innovative marketing approaches and channels to reach and engage key audiences 
  • Define business metrics and measurement plan (OKRs)
  • Multi-lingual is a plus (English, Dutch, French, German, Italian)
