Project Management Officer – Strategic Deployment Department

As a Project Management Officer, you will play a pivotal role in establishing a Project Management Office (PMO) within Cloetta. You’ll collaborate with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and adherence to governance structures. Your leadership will set an example for others, emphasizing best practices in project management.

You will have the opportunity to shape project management practices within a growing organization and work in a collaborative team. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic (matrix) organization, where you will have to establish a solid network of relationships with key stakeholders across the organization. You will lead the rollout of the S&G (Stage and Gate) principle across all operational departments. What are key deliverables in each stage and what documentation is needed to move to the next gate this can be from procurement to supply chain to CAPEX projects. You will monitor the progress and escalate when needed. Developing and standardizing key documentation is key for the operation team to dive project management as one Cloetta. You need to be able to drive change management, create awareness and understanding, be able to escalate to higher management. In this role you will report to the Head of Strategic Projects and you will have a peer that also runs Strategic Projects.

Responsibilities:

• S&G Implementation: Lead the adoption of the S&G principle throughout operational departments. Monitor project progress at key gates and facilitate decision-making.
• PMO Establishment: Create and manage the PMO, guiding project methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Training and Onboarding: Train existing staff and newcomers on S&G and PMO practices.
• Conflict Resolution: Act as a mediator during S&G meetings, resolving conflicts and ensuring smooth collaboration.
• Escalation Point: When resolution is challenging, escalate issues to higher authorities (e.g., COMT/CIBM).
• Project Support: Assist in project setup, monitor milestones, and provide feedback to operational teams.
• Compliance Ambassador: Champion adherence to governance policies and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in project management, preferred link to S&G methodology
• Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.

• Relevant training and/or certifications as a Project Management Officer.
