Product Engineer – Commercial EV

The R&D department plans the sustainable product and technology roadmap for Europe and works on developing advanced, full electric bus series which fulfill current and future European public transportation market needs. By cooperating with European leading suppliers, the R&D department continuously upgrades design and engineering abilities for excellent product performance and quality.

The R&D team is looking for an On-Boarding system engineer to discuss technical solutions and details with customers and suppliers and help China R&D team finish Bus data design.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Participate in the configuration docking, technical scheme discussion, data matching and function debugging of the On-Boarding systems of commercial vehicle (such as ticketing systems, public transportation dispatch systems, etc.).

Discuss technical solutions and details with customers and suppliers.

Accurately and quickly convey customer order configuration requirements to the R&D team in Shenzhen, China.

Knowledge of 3D CAD software (NX preferably) and a good understanding of 2D drawing.

Who are excited about the public transportation and ideally have experience in a similar field e.g., with a German bus operating company, or a system provider in the areas of bus dispatching system, multimedia system and ticketing system.

Can adapt to short-term temporary business trips in the EU, discuss technical solutions with customers and suppliers face to face, and support order PDI debugging.

Your profile:

Bachelor’s/HBO degree in electrical engineering or similar.

1-2 years of electrical test engineering experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Germany (mandatory)and Chinese language.

Very clear and systematic thinking that demonstrates strong judgment and problem-solving competencies.

Excellent organization skills and able to work well in a team setting.

Willing to take business travel.

Driver license (EU).

You have a creative mind and strong analytical skills.

Understanding of legislation and standards.
