For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. (YME), located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Department Manager Data, Integrations & Analytics in our Information Systems Division.

About the role:

The Department Manager for Data, Integration, and Analytics is responsible for leading YME’s data, integration, and analytics functions to ensure that data is accurate, secure, compliant, and effectively leveraged as a strategic business asset. The role oversees the development and execution of the data governance and data management operating model, including data architecture, data engineering practices, integration platforms, analytics capabilities, and the enterprise data warehouse.

The Department Manager is accountable for provisioning the business with reliable reports, dashboards, and analytics tooling, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. Working closely with data stewards, business and technology stakeholders, and risk, security, and privacy leaders, the manager ensures consistent data, analytics, and AI stewardship; manages data- and AI-related risks; and delivers high-quality, trusted insights through robust processes, best practices, and effective partner management.

Your responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Direction - Define and execute the multi-year Data, Integration, and Analytics (DI&A) strategy. Manage both OPEX/CAPEX budgets and resource allocation to ensure capabilities align with YME’s long-term business goals.
  • Data Governance, Risk & Ethics - Establish the enterprise data governance framework, ensuring robust compliance with privacy, security, and ethical AI standards. Lead the data stewardship community to mitigate risk and maintain high data integrity.
  • Data Architecture & Integration - Oversee the end-to-end technical ecosystem, including enterprise architecture, data engineering, and seamless integration across platforms to ensure reliable, scalable, and high-performance data flows.
  • Analytics, BI & AI Enablement - Drive data-driven decision-making by provisioning the business with trusted reports, self-service BI tooling, and advanced AI/predictive modeling capabilities, ensuring all solutions meet strict operational service levels.
  • Stakeholder & People Management - Act as a strategic partner to business leaders to translate data into value. Lead and develop the DI&A team (4 direct reports), manage key vendor relationships, and foster a culture of data literacy and continuous improvement.

What do you bring?

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in data management and analytics, minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, e.g. as Head of Data and Analytics, preferably in an international organization.
  • Relevant certifications like CAP or CPDA.
  • Proven expertise managing data teams, with strong knowledge of data warehouse principles, self-service reporting and dashboarding.
  • Knowledgeable in relevant laws and regulations such as GDPR or NIS2.
  • Aware of the relevant market standards in the field of Data Governance, Reporting, etc.
  • A good knowledge of technologies such as IBM Datastage, IBM Cognos, Informatica, Pyramid, MS-SQL.
  • Experience in managing department budgets and navigating corporate processes.
