Internship: Negotiation Excellence

Experience how Game Theory and Mechanism Design are applied in practice in procurement within Royal Philips, an innovation leader in Healthcare and Consumer Lifestyle. A small team of negotiation experts within Royal Philips Procurement globally supports Commodity Managers in high-impact negotiations for running business and new awarding. The team's responsibilities include the identification of projects, their preparation and execution. Part of the preparation is to tailor the optimal awarding mechanism design based on Game and Auction Theory.

Job details:

• Start date: July-September 2026
• Duration: minimum 6 months (up to 12 months)
• Type: Internship (thesis possible)

Your role:

• Organize negotiation trainings and support the continuous improvement of the training material.
• Support the team during the preparation and execution of high-impact negotiations in cooperation with Procurement Commodity Managers and Procurement Engineer.
• Apply AI in daily tasks and look for improvements to simulate an efficient way of working.

You're the right fit if:

• You are currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Economics, Business Mathematics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Math or related studies.
• You have knowledge of and enthusiasm for Microeconomics, including Game Theory and Mechanism Design.
• You work independently and in an organized way.
• You have analytical and abstract thinking skills.
• You have excellent knowledge of Excel and Data Analysis.
• You are fluent in oral and written English.
