Are you passionate about science communications? Join as R&I Communications intern in our Utrecht office.

We are seeking a motivated final year BSc/MSc-level intern with a background in science communication, life sciences, or communications. The ideal candidate is a science & technology enthusiast, fluent in English (with Portuguese and French being a plus), and eager to take on a variety of tasks, ranging from creative projects to administrative and reporting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Creative content creation & distribution

Bring the science and health communications strategy to life by:

• Enhancing existing communication projects to be disseminated to our internal and external audiences throughout the year.
• Creating and running content pieces to engage our internal and external audiences throughout the year.
• Amplifying the reach of our content by engaging with internal audiences and supporting our Danone Expert Fellows programme.

2. Administrative Tasks

• Keeping our content communications schedule updated.
• Keeping our terms of use for images folder and excel spreadsheet updated.
• Monitoring our owned digital channels to ensure they are working smoothly, as well as suggesting ways to continuously improve.

3. Stakeholder Management

• Coordinating larger campaigns with additional Communication teams across Danone.
• Coordinating with external agencies to request data pulls and ensure reports are complete.

4. Reporting

• Contributing to the preparation of comprehensive reports to track progress, measure impact, and inform strategic R&I Comms decisions.
• Preparing monthly updates on scientific activities, sharing them via Viva! Engage and on office screens to keep colleagues informed on the latest scientific news.

About you

• Currently pursuing a BSc/Master’s in science communication, communication, life sciences, or a related field.
• A keen interest in science and its communication to diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Creative mindset and ability to propose new ideas.
• Attention to detail, particularly in administrative and reporting tasks.

There are also some compulsory requirements:

• Enrolled as a Bachelors/Masters student during the whole internship period.
• You are a resident of the Netherlands and hold a valid BSN number; if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to have a valid Dutch residency permit.
• In the case of non-EU citizens, it is mandatory to provide a 3-party internship agreement signed by your university.
• Ideally available to start in July 2026 for 8-12 months, 4-5 days per week.
• You are fluent in English, spoken and written; French and/or Portuguese is considered a plus.
• You are able to work from our Utrecht office at least 2 days per week.
