Are you looking for an internship where you not only support the business, but also make a real impact at a strategic level? Within Boels International Rental, you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to the international growth strategy of our organization. In this role, you will work on a concrete and current business challenge: where are the greatest commercial opportunities within Europe, and how can we, as an international player, best capitalize on them? You will dive deep into the market, analyze data, engage with stakeholders, and translate your insights into a clear and well-founded strategy.

What makes this internship unique? You won’t stop at analysis alone. You will actively contribute to building a commercial pipeline and present your findings in a business case that will be used for board-level decision-making. This means your work will have a direct impact on the future of our organization. At the same time, you will gain insight into an international commercial organization. You will collaborate with colleagues from different countries, work with account managers, and see how opportunities are converted into concrete projects. An ideal combination of strategy, analysis, and hands-on experience within a technical and international environment.

What will you do?

The focus of your internship is strategic market research across Europe, complemented by exposure to daily operations.

Strategic assignment (your main responsibility)

• Conduct market research within Europe, including a focus on defense-related projects, to identify key accounts within infrastructure, logistics, and military projects
• Map relevant stakeholders such as end users, contractors, and partners
• Analyze geographical hotspots where projects are taking place or expected
• Study project structures and dynamics within these segments
• Develop a well-substantiated business case for board approval

Concrete output of your internship:

• Overview of target customers and segmentation
• Insights into high-potential countries and regions
• Initial commercial pipeline recorded in Salesforce
• Business case to support strategic decision-making

Additional (operational exposure):

• Support with international quotations and customer contact
• Contribute ideas for equipment-related solutions
• Assist in administrative and commercial processes
• Opportunity to visit clients, projects, and trade fairs

What do you bring?

• You are pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in business, Commercial Economics, or a related field
• Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for commercial opportunities
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of your projects
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; English is required and Dutch is a plus
• Proactive, curious, and not afraid to ask the right questions
• Affinity with an international and/or technical environment is a plus
