As Control and Automation Project Engineer you will be working on large scale Energy projects in several stages of development and realization. Project locations are in NL, DE and BE. In these projects you are responsible for the overall Control and Automation design, from concept to detailed design including construction and commissioning support. You make sure that projects are compliant to the requirements including Cyber security. You coordinate both with internal and external engineers and specialists to achieve this goal and guard relevant interfaces. You use company standards and align with the asset organization, clients and partners. You make sure that suppliers deliver what was agreed. In this way, you'll be making a contribution to a sustainable future.

You want to become the technical lead on Control and Automation in the project team and work together with all team members to deliver the projects. In doing so, you are proactive in helping to accelerate the energy transition, while you make sure that quality and safety requirements are met. You are result driven and are able to represent Eneco with clients, suppliers and stakeholders. You have a technical focus, but understand the business challenges of an investor in renewable assets. In addition, you hold the following qualities:

• Master degree or equivalent level of education in electronics engineering or equivalent discipline;
• 5-10 years of work experience as a discipline or project engineer in complex engineering projects, for instance as control engineer or technical consultant in industry or power
• Experience with working in a project environment and coordinating engineering teams is an advantage
• Knowledge of Functional safety design is an advantage
• Knowledge of LV electrical systems is an advantage
• Knowledge of Cyber security compliance is an advantage
• Knowledge of SCADA/Automation systems
• Self-starting and skilled in planning and organization
• Driven to improve quality and standards within Eneco
• Good social and communication skills both verbally and in writing English and Dutch;
• Dutch speaking is an advantage;

Je bent verantwoordelijk voor

Within the projects we develop, you will be the subject matter expert in the project team on Control and Automation and responsible for the design and scope definition in compliance to Cyber security standards. For this you will work together with internal and external stakeholders and make sure the design meets all requirements.

As Control and Automation Project Engineer, you will:

• Design the Control and Automation architecture;
• Involvement in the tender process, from technical input to tender evaluation
• Manage the engineering process from conceptual design towards detailed engineering, being responsible for coordinating relevant adjacent disciplines. For this you will work together and manage internal and external specialists and engineers.
• Give input to the Basis of Design and gathering relevant design requirements
• Manage the delivery and reviewing of all engineering documents required
• Support in creating the cost estimates and technical inputs for the business case and permit applications
• Prepare specifications for assignments for technical consultants, engineering firms, contractors and suppliers and evaluate proposals.
• Coordinate the quality assurance and quality control throughout the engineering and construction phases.

You will be part of the Large Project organization within Eneco. The business unit is active in preparation and realization of renewable energy projects. Once the project is finished, it will be handed over to our asset organization.
