Business Analyst Commercial Level 3

In this role as Business Analyst Commercial Level 3, your mission is to empower product teams within our department by clearly defining data collection requirements and ensuring the right data is available. This enables them to truly work in a data-driven manner. It is your expertise that ensures our data analyst colleagues have the high-quality data needed to generate deep insights into the performance of our digital products. As such, your contribution forms the foundation for the continuous improvement of our digital products.

What will you do?

Data is the indispensable foundation for every data-driven decision, and its true power lies in the quality of that data. In this position you are the architect of this foundation. Without your expertise in translating business needs into concrete data requirements, there would be no reliable insights.

Your daily activities include:

• Analyzing requests for new data insights and translating these requests into concrete requirements for data collection.
• Leading migration projects together with the Product Owner of the team.
• Collaborating with Product Owners and Data Analysts to define the data collection priorities.
• Analyzing and documenting detailed user and business requirements for digital products and services.
• Identifying opportunities to improve our data quality and way of working.

Where do you land?

You will be part of the Digital Analytics Services team. This team is an integral part of Performance Insights & Analytics, which falls under the broader Digital Product Management department.

Your team specializes in defining and safeguarding the requirements for accurate data collection. We ensure that product teams have access to the reliable and relevant data they need to operate in a truly data-driven manner. Your direct colleagues within Performance Insights & Analytics then transform this data into in-depth analyses and concrete insights regarding the performance of our digital products. Your work thus lays the foundation for their analyses.

Collaboration is key. You will work closely with your colleagues from the Performance Insights & Analytics team, who are located in Paris and Amstelveen. Furthermore, you will be a sparring partner for our digital marketing colleagues.

Your profile

• A WO degree. For example in Business Information Management, Computer/Data Science or a similar study.
• More than 5 years of relevant work experience and a solid understanding of data management, data modeling concepts, and digital analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, tag management systems).
• Skilled in requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and translating these requirements into actionable tasks (e.g. features, user stories, bugs).
• Strong analytical skills, able to work independently, and take initiative.
