People Business Partner

As Virtuagym continues to grow, we are looking for a new colleague to strengthen our People team. In this role as People Business Partner, you will play an important role in translating our people strategy into practical initiatives, frameworks and processes that help our teams perform at their best.

In this role you will work closely with managers across the organization, supporting them in building strong, engaged and high-performing teams. You will act as a trusted partner to managers and collaborate closely with our Head of People & Culture in implementing and scaling our people initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building and improving people practices in a growing company, and who likes turning ideas into practical solutions that make a real impact.

While we support flexible working, we follow a hybrid way of working, where many of us work partly from home and partly from the office. For this role, we expect you to be present in the office around two days per week to stay closely connected with the teams.

Some of your key tasks as People Business Partner

• Acting as a trusted advisor to managers, supporting them on topics such as performance management, feedback, employee engagement and team development.
• Coaching and guiding managers in strengthening their people management and leadership capabilities.
• Translating people strategy into practical HR frameworks, tools and processes that help managers and teams succeed.
• Taking ownership of HR initiatives and projects from idea to implementation, by using people data and insights, that improve engagement, performance and retention.
• Supporting the development and implementation of learning and development paths across the organization, helping employees grow and develop within Virtuagym.
• Contributing to the development and improvement of people management processes such as performance management, development planning and employee engagement initiatives.
• Exploring opportunities to implement AI and modern HR technology that help scale our People operations and improve efficiency.

What you will bring to the People Team

• 2–5 years of experience in an HR advisory or HR Business Partner role.
• Proficiency in Dutch (must-have).
• Experience supporting managers on topics such as employee engagement, performance management, change management and organizational development.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic or scale-up environment.
• A hands-on mindset: you enjoy building structures, improving processes and turning ideas into action.
• Interest in using data and insights to strengthen HR practices and support business decisions.
• Curiosity about AI and modern HR tools that help improve and scale HR processes.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with Dutch labour law and HR compliance requirements.
• Ability to build trust and credibility with managers and employees across the organization.
