Quantum Computing is a rather complex technology. Historically it's been a field dominated by physicists with a very academic approach. We have decided to focus on a specific piece of the computer, a novel type of cabling.
Moreover, we shift the approach from purely academic to...

Delft Circuits is a company full of young super enthusiastic people who love working with and creating state of the art technology. We started in October 2016, rapidly made some prototypes and initial simulations that made us feel confident to present at the largest physics conference. The reactions from the public were overwhelming! We thus decided to build up a team of skilled people and start further development and production. At the end of 2017 our first products were shipped. We are currently making the next step – further testing and setting up production.

Within DC the design cycle is central – design, build, measure, learn – at a fast rate. Every Monday we get together to discuss the planning and goals of the week, where we carefully take the input of all the team members with different expertise into account. On wednesday we have a short meeting to see if we are still on schedule or whether we need to adjust the planning. Friday afternoon we have a session during which all major learning points are presented, be it new results in terms of data, shining prototypes, improved production methods or an analysis of potential new markets, we celebrate the successes we accomplish! We feel these Friday meetings are important to keep the team in focus. Eeveryone should have an idea of what others are doing: selling the perfect cable requires (at least some) understanding of all aspects, from procurement to production to sales!

At Delft Circuits we believe that people perform best if they do what they like, we therefore highly encourage a proactive attitude – do you feel like a certain process can be improved, do you think we should buy a certain machine, do you think another material is better, do you feel like we should enter a certain market – please say so! Another part of the fun is the team itself, we do team activities every now and then and have Friday afternoon drinks.

With respect to jobs, DC is a startup so there are clear job descriptions, but there is also a lot of freedom to develop yourself in a direction you like. This is due to the fact that we continuously develop new and improved methods and the fact that we’re setting up production. We see that everyone so far has rolled sort of naturally into what he does and that new jobs (e.g. when new machines arrive) are picked up rapidly by anyone who is enthusiastic to do so.

In short, DC is a place where you can learn from experienced people, use your own creativity to improve production methods and products, learn to work in a team with a structured work flow and be amongst super enthusiastic and fun people.

Interested? If you feel like you can add to our team (even if your dream job does not exactly match the descriptions below), just send an email to daan@delft-circuits.com or drop by our studio. See delft-circuits.com.
