The Total Rewards Specialist is an early career professional responsible for supporting the organization’s compensation and benefits programs. This role focuses on maintaining salary and benefit programs and policies through analysis and benchmarking, and by providing support in benefits administration, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with internal and external regulations. This Specialist will collaborate with other HR teams on a regular basis.

In this Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Data Collection & Benchmarking: Gather and submit data for benchmarking surveys, review salary ranges, and conduct benchmarking analysis to ensure competitive compensation & benefits practices.
  • Compensation & Benefits Support: Conduct research and analyses to support compensation and benefits programs, and develop proposals for adjustments to support organizational objectives.
  • Market Monitoring: Monitor market developments and compensation/benefits trends to keep the organization competitive.
  • Policy Application: Advise employees and HR on the application of compensation and benefits policies, ensuring clarity and compliance.
  • Compliance: Contribute to compliance with internal policies and external regulations regarding compensation and benefits, by participating in regular data audits or collaborating with other teams to ensure the right information is provided to external auditors.

  • Process Optimization: Use metrics and benchmarks to monitor accuracy and quality; address process breakdowns promptly.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Listen attentively, keep others well informed, and convey information clearly and professionally.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Data Collection & Analysis: Able to determine and analyze trends from collected data to assist in compiling reports for decision-making.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Competent in supporting the development and implementation of equitable, market-based, and cost-effective reward systems.
  • HR Systems & Tools: Proficient in leveraging HR information systems (HRIS) and relevant software applications to manage employee data, payroll, and benefits.
  • Compliance: Maintains understanding and adherence to regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Adaptive Mindset: Adjusts thinking and work habits to thrive in changing scenarios.
  • Planning & Organizing: Plans, organizes, and prioritizes activities to efficiently meet objectives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Preferred experience in compensation & benefits or broader HR area is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and standard office software.
