The internship

Are you ready to gain hands-on experience in a truly global environment? Join our Global Business Conduct team within the Legal Affairs department and be at the heart of our company's ethics and compliance efforts across diverse cultures and regions. This internship offers a unique chance to collaborate with local operating companies from different countries, contributing to a wide range of business conduct topics, focusing on integrity and anti-corruption. You will assist in monitoring developments related to ethics and compliance, conduct research on regulatory changes and global trends, and support projects that shape our business conduct framework and help implement global standards. By working closely with teams from across the business, you’ll ensure alignment on key compliance initiatives, enhance our culture of integrity, and contribute with innovative ideas to drive our commitment forward.

The department

The Global Business Conduct team at HEINEKEN sits within the Global Legal Affairs function. The team focuses on upholding the Company's Code of Business Conduct by promoting ethical principles and values. This involves raising awareness and understanding through communications and training, providing channels for employees to report misconduct, and mitigating risks when engaging with third parties. The team's efforts ensure that ethical behavior is embedded in daily operations and business practices.

  • You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program
  • You have a genuine interest in ethics and compliance
  • You have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint
  • You have great English language and writing skills
  • You have an international perspective with an ability to work as part of a team of specialists from various countries and cultures
  • You are proactive, take initiative, anticipate needs, and go beyond expectations
  • You are a problem solver who pays attention to detail and has a flexible approach
  • You have great analytical and research skills

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
    1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
    2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  2. You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
  3. You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).

Our internship conditions

During your time as an intern at HEINEKEN, you’ll work in a dynamic environment where growing and learning are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we brew your future step by step. In addition, we offer you:

  • A full-time internship, starting on February 1st, 2026
  • The duration of the internship is 6 months
  • It is a practice-oriented internship
  • You will be based in Amsterdam. At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home
  • You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40-hour workweek
  • You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full-time internship)
  • If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed
