At Van Oord, we believe that people are the foundation of our success. As Integrated Talent Manager, you’ll design and drive the way we attract, develop and engage talent across all parts of our business. You’ll connect global teams, align strategy with people’s growth, and turn ideas into actions that make a difference. This is your chance to turn talent into lasting impact, helping our people build a better world for future generations.

THE POSITION

In this strategic and influential role, you will shape and lead Van Oord’s people capability agenda. You will bring the full spectrum of people development together; develop and execute an integrated strategy for Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Succession Planning, Learning & Development and Change Management. Partnering closely with senior leadership and HR colleagues, you will strengthen our leadership pipeline, foster a culture of growth and accountability, and build the organizational capabilities needed for long-term success.

YOUR IMPACT

You will lead a team of professionals across talent, learning, change management and recruitment — setting direction, simplifying processes and enabling growth. By aligning initiatives globally and driving collaboration across HR, you will help Van Oord remain an employer where people thrive, lead and leave a lasting legacy.

Your key contributions will include:

  • Shaping and executing a global talent, learning and leadership strategy that drives performance and growth.
  • Leading the Talent & Learning team to foster collaboration and innovation across HR and the business.
  • Building strong partnerships with senior leaders to identify critical skills, develop future leaders and support succession planning.
  • Strengthening our leadership culture through impactful development programs and coaching.
  • Driving alignment between Talent Acquisition and Talent Development to support internal mobility and organizational agility.
  • Embedding change management capabilities as part of our transformation program Founding the Future.

YOUR WORKPLACE

The Integrated Talent Management department is positioned as part of our Centres of Expertise (CoEs). As Manager of this department, you will lead a team of talent, development, learning and recruitment professionals that consists of approximately 40 colleagues, collaborate with senior leadership, and drive initiatives that enhance our employer brand and diversity efforts. You will report into the Chief People Officer and as a member of the HR Management Team, you will work closely with them to influence the HR Strategy and Talent & Learning agenda, driving business outcomes and related goals.

ABOUT YOU

You are result-driven with excellent organizational and communication skills. You have a positive attitude and inspire others with your vision and creating impact in the organization. In addition, you have:

  • A Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience in Talent Development, Learning & Development, or a related HR leadership role
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing leadership development, succession planning, and learning strategies in a global organization
  • Proven experience in working in a matrix structure, where you have worked with senior stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of performance management, career development frameworks, and digital learning solutions
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and business partnering skills
  • Data-driven mindset, with experience using analytics to measure and improve talent development initiatives
  • Proficiency in English and Dutch

As part of the selection process, an assessment will be included to better understand your fit for this role.

WE OFFER

We offer you a role where you will make a significant contribution to our mission of ‘building a better world for future generations’. Additionally, we offer you:

  • A salary that matches your responsibilities and experience
  • Home working allowance (€2.40 per day)
  • Company car
  • Fixed expense allowance
  • 32 holidays (of which a maximum of 7 are collective)
  • Variable bonus, partly dependent on company results

  • Option for collective health insurance (Van Oord pays for your supplementary package)
