Reporting to the Planning Program Director

Your role at AbbVie

This role has a global responsibility to develop and deploy AbbVie's Future Focused Planning program across AbbVie's network. The JDA business lead will lead design, configuration, and business adoption of the JDA Blue Yonder Advanced Planning System for supply planning, ensuring alignment between business processes, planning capabilities, and system functionalities, including all necessary interfaces with other planning systems and master data sources (SAP S4, INFOR).

In addition, this role will help to build out AbbVie’s long-range roadmap on planning systems in close conjunction with business process partners in GSP, MEC and BTS.

Highlighted Responsibilities:

  • Process to system translation: Partner with business leads and subject matter experts to map current and future supply planning processes. Lead design workshops, ensuring business objectives are translated into system configurations. Translate business needs into JDA APS functional designs, ensuring alignment with best practices.
  • System capability leadership: Define and validate JDA supply planning configurations, heuristics, and optimization rules. Ensure correct integration points with ERP, demand planning, manufacturing and logistics systems.
  • Implementation & Integration: Oversee build, test, and deployment activities for JDA APS modules in support of POC and overall rollouts. Coordinate with BTS and external partners as primary liaison to ensure smooth data interfaces and system performance.
  • Change & Adaption: Develop training materials and lead capability uplift for planners and stakeholders. Act as the go-to authority on JDA APS functionalities and best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor system usage, identify improvement opportunities, and drive enhancements. Ensure alignment with evolving business strategies and planning processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field (required). Master’s degree in Supply Chain or MBA (preferred).
  • 8–10 years of experience in supply chain planning with deep knowledge of advanced planning processes.
  • Hands-on experience in JDA/Blue Yonder Advanced Supply Planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of JDA/Blue Yonder APS functionalities and integration with ERP/data platforms.
  • Proven track record in system implementation or transformation projects across industry (design, testing, rollout).
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and able to “speak both business and BTS language.”
  • Experience leading workshops and translating business needs into technical requirements.
