About the Role

Booking.com is building BHFS (Booking Holdings Financial Services), a new regulated provider of payment and e-money services. This large, multi-year program involves 500+ people and will transition Booking.com’s payment services into a future-ready, secure, and compliant platform supporting all BHI brands.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be part of the central Program Management team driving this transformation. You will lead complex, cross-functional projects end to end, ensuring strong planning, governance, risk management, and regulatory alignment. Your work will directly contribute to future-proofing Booking.com’s global payment and e-money capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead high-complexity, end-to-end projects from scoping through delivery and handover.
  • Define project objectives, success criteria, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
  • Manage execution, track progress, and maintain clear and timely stakeholder communication.
  • Establish project governance structures to support effective decision-making.
  • Drive impactful outcomes by coordinating across multiple teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops, support strategy workstreams, and contribute to change management efforts.
  • Lead independently medium complexity projects with global impact (cross-functional), driving them through execution, analysis, recommendation, and implementation.
  • Apply change management processes and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.
  • Communicate project insights and recommendations across all stakeholders.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels inside and, if required, outside of the organization.

Requirements of Special Knowledge/Skills

  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in a project management role.
  • Proven experience managing medium to large, cross-functional projects; Agile background preferred. PMP, Agile PM, or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Background in FinTech or Banking is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders up to Director level.
  • Experience navigating complex, fast-changing environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complexity.
  • Solid familiarity with project/change management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
