Global Initiative Manager

The Global Initiative Manager in Coty is a highly autonomous, pragmatic, and engaged candidate, that will strive to take charge and be accountable for bold but supported decisions. Responsibilities

The Global Initiative Manager takes responsibility for a given portfolio of projects and influences the activities of a multi-functional team who, together, develop and execute a new product development project within an Initiative Masterplan from idea through to launch.

You operate as the ‘orchestra conductor’ helping to drive collaboration in defining and executing the project plan with colleagues in Category Marketing, Artwork, Supply, Procurement and R&D.

Performing a rich variety of tasks which are not limited to:

  • Managing portfolio of projects through the development of a project plan and brings together the multi-functional team to work collaboratively and pro-actively progress the agreed work
  • Co-ordinating the review of readiness of an initiative, working closely with Category Marketing, R&D/Supply/Procurement and Marketing Finance
  • Frame and communicate project questions to facilitate informed and agile decision taking
  • Applying the standard Supply operating strategy matrix to recommend finished good sourcing approach
  • Ensuring issues and risks are pro-actively identified and brought to the attention of the project team for mitigation or resolution. Elevates project issues to respective leadership for visibility and support in resolution when needed.
  • Co-ordinating the formal Alert Process with global teams when a critical issue arises. Brings the project team together in crisis collaboration if needed.

The team consists of Brand Initiative Leader, yourself and Director. You will work closely together with several departments including Marketing, R&D Packaging and Formula, Initiative Procurement, Artwork team and Supply Chain (from Factories to Planning).

As a Global Initiative Manager you will deliver initiatives successfully, be able to work across multiple projects, solutions orientated and able to thrive in a fast-paced and international environment.

Other than that you will have:

  • 3+ years project management experience – familiarity with Project Planning, standard project management toolbox
  • Background in Supply Chain role(s)
  • Technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Proven experience in delivering projects as leader and/or member of a multi-functional team
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • Understanding of new product development processes
  • Exposure to production environment & interaction of packaging, process, manufacturing
  • Additional background in planning/purchasing/technical environment beneficial
  • Preferably to have experience of beauty industry, pharmaceutical, food or FMCG
