Lead the Global Planning Transformation Program at AbbVie

Your role at AbbVie

The Program Transformation Lead will drive successful execution of the Planning Transformation Program within AbbVie globally. This role will ensure that program milestones are delivered on time, business value is identified and tracked, and proof-of-concepts (POCs) and rollouts are managed in alignment with strategic goals. In addition, this role will help to build out AbbVie’s long-range roadmap on planning systems in close conjunction with business process partners in GSP, MEC, and BTS.

Highlighted Responsibilities:

The Program Transformation Lead will closely collaborate with the program director, the JDA program business lead, the MEC partners, and BTS project manager to:

Process to System Translation:

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones across multiple workstreams.
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and critical path activities; ensure timely escalation and resolution.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on deliverables and deadlines.
  • Partner with JDA business lead and subject matter experts to map current and future supply planning processes.
  • Translate business needs into JDA APS functional designs, ensuring alignment with best practices.

Value Mapping & Realization:

  • Partner with business leads to define measurable value drivers and KPIs for planning transformation.
  • Define rollout plans for planning capabilities from pilot, POC to full deployment.
  • Track and report benefits realization from pilots, POCs, and full deployments.

Rollout & Change Management:

  • Lead identification, scoping, and execution of proof-of-concept initiatives for new planning capabilities.
  • Manage rollout strategies across geographies, business units, and product portfolios.
  • Ensure robust change management and adoption planning.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Facilitate communication between program leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
  • Prepare and provide executive-level updates on program progress, risks, and outcomes in close conjunction with program leads.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (required). Master’s degree or MBA (preferred).
  • Project management experience and certification in project/program management required.
  • 7+ years of project/program management experience in a global, cross-functional environment; previous industry experience preferred.
  • Proven track record in supply chain planning, enterprise system implementation, or transformation programs.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced planning systems (Blue Yonder/JDA, Kinaxis, OMP, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated success in leading pilots, proof-of-concepts, and global rollouts.
