You'll lead APQP implementation, ensure regulatory compliance, and shape strategic supplier decisions. You’ll lead a global supplier quality team spread across multiple locations, including the US, India, China and Best. This is a dynamic role with wide-ranging responsibilities and frequent engagement with diverse stakeholders.

Your role:

  • Oversee the development and deployment of a comprehensive supplier performance strategy aligned with supply management and business objectives, ensuring alignment across the organization.
  • Assess and make decisions, including veto power, through technical capability assessment during the supplier selection process, ensuring only high-quality suppliers are engaged.
  • Lead a global supplier quality team of 15–20 professionals across multiple sites, including the US, India, China, and Best. Responsible for succession planning and comprehensive talent management, including employee selection, performance and compensation management, and career development—all aligned with the organization’s operational goals.
  • Ensure the annual formulation of a comprehensive quality improvement plan (QIP) tailored specifically to meet the evolving needs of strategic/preferred BOM suppliers, and subsequently oversee its timely and effective implementation to drive continuous enhancement in product quality and supplier performance.
  • Assume responsibility for managing the control and mitigation of supplier-related risks pertaining to quality, delivery, and cost, thereby safeguarding the interests of the organization.
  • Implement a comprehensive system for reviewing and monitoring supplier quality performance, executing DFMAT (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly Technique) and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Plan), to drive ongoing enhancement initiatives.
  • Uphold compliance with Philips' sustainability standards and guidelines within the assigned supply base, advocating for ethical and environmentally responsible practices to foster sustainable business relationships.
  • Lead the development of robust networks of internal and external stakeholders, including customers, business leaders, suppliers, procurement professionals, vendors, and consultants, fostering collaboration and alignment.
  • Establish medium-term operational decision policies for the business, influencing its success and guiding strategic directions, and drive organizational transformation and change management by facilitating the adoption of new Supplier Engineering practices.
  • Guide analysis of complex and non-recurring supply problems, utilizing diagnostic skills and judgement to determine the most appropriate approach or procedure for resolution.

You're the right fit if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
  • At least 10–15 years of experience in manufacturing processes, quality engineering, or supplier quality, within the medical device sector
  • Proven leadership experience in managing global teams, with a strong track record of at least 5 years in people management.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and solid knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, manufacturing processes, product quality planning, and APQP
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and deliver results that align with broader business objectives
