About this role

The Segmental Workplace Operations Manager Northern Europe oversees facilities management within a specific region or business segment, ensuring alignment with central guidance and standards. Countries within scope are: Slovakia, Switzerland, Denmark, Poland, the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium and Germany and will be based in our Global HQ in Amsterdam.

Key responsibilities include managing daily (people) operations and partner contract management and working with the Head of Workplace Operations to design and implement all aspects of the workplace strategy.

The role involves optimizing workplace environments to enhance employee experience, ensuring safety and compliance, and implementing global best practices. The manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency, supports sustainability initiatives, and handles budgeting and cost management on behalf of the country team. They act as a liaison between global and local teams, ensuring consistent and efficient service delivery and adapting strategies to segmental needs.

What will you bring to the table?

  • Proven experience in managing operations within a specific segment or department (multiple locations and/or countries), including overseeing daily activities, optimizing processes, and managing resources.
  • Expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile, with a track record of enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience in managing and motivating teams, providing clear direction, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information and collaborate with various stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and adapting to changes in the workplace environment.
  • Strong strategic and future-oriented thinking with the ability to translate that into clear goals and objectives for the function
