Your Career

As a Digital Marketing Intern, you will have the opportunity to use digital marketing tactics to help drive event registrations and campaign results, delivering toward our global KPIs.

You will learn about digital marketing tools, contribute to successful campaign execution and get a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the cybersecurity market. This is an entry-level into the Palo Alto Networks EMEA Demand Generation & Partner Marketing organization.

Our global internship program trains the next generation of cybersecurity talent across a range of specializations, from threat intelligence to information security, engineering, and marketing. Interns and recent graduates can learn about the network security industry from leading thinkers, grow their professional networks, and be part of a career-defining experience.

Your Impact

Your engagement will be part of the EMEA & LATAM Marketing Demand Generation Hub, supporting the wider EMEA & LATAM Marketing Team in scaling demand generation efforts across the EMEA & LATAM region by improving regional customer experiences.

You will be supporting three key initiatives, as well as the execution of miscellaneous tasks designed to increase our ability to achieve pipeline conversion and demand generation goals.

Key initiatives:

  1. Help the team deliver a better customer experience across all marketing channels, ensuring all efforts align with coordinated marketing initiatives.
    • Maintenance of coordinated customer journey calendar aligning promotional channels, events, campaigns, and content.
    • Support the amplification of coordinated customer journey through digital channels, including web, paid media, social etc. aligning closely with key stakeholders to help them scale.
    • Define a reporting format for the outcomes and prepare relevant communications to share progress towards our goals.
    • Gain practical experience in B2B marketing across paid media, social media, website and campaign marketing through real-life experience developing and executing campaigns.
  2. Maintenance of regional website content increasing relevance and presence of regional activities and hot topics.
    • Collate requirements for EMEA & LATAM specific websites in English, German and French from the local Field Marketing team.
    • Work with the web team to update the local websites according to those requirements.
    • Collate results into reports that can be shared with the EMEA & LATAM marketing team.
    • Communicate the information to the team on a regular basis and make recommendations for strategic next steps in alignment with the coordinated major moments calendar.
  3. Help promote the EMEA Marketing Demand Generation Hub team internally and externally to share successes and drive broader awareness of the services we provide with the objective of positioning us as the Demand Generation Centre of Excellence for Palo Alto Networks in EMEA & LATAM.
    • Run a quarterly stakeholder satisfaction survey
    • Collate information on campaigns executed by the Hub and identify successes worth highlighting.
    • Define a format to update the wider team on the Hub’s contribution highlighting successful activities.
    • Identify external and internal awards/recognitions for digital marketing campaigns, prepare and submit our entries.

During your internship, you will

  • Learn how to coordinate and align marketing programs across multiple functions by the end of the internship.
  • Grow essential project management skills and learn how to use Asana for project management.
  • See how global strategies get aligned with regional execution.
  • Find out which processes are involved in running successful campaigns.
  • Learn how to create your own campaign landing pages in Splash or Marketo.
  • Understand the use of metrics and data-driven decision-making as part of a successful marketing strategy.
  • Learn how to analyse marketing campaign results using reporting systems (SFDC, Tableau, Google Analytics).
  • See the importance of internal communication as part of a functioning marketing organisation.
  • Experience the impact of recognition and success sharing on motivation and morale.

Your Experience

  • Have a creative mindset with an interest in digital marketing (web, paid media, emails, social media etc.) and the ability to demonstrate good time management skills.
  • Have an interest in website design and programming
  • Interested/willing to learn about cybersecurity
  • Proven ability to learn new technology quickly, adapt to changing needs and possess strong analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Additional languages like French and German an advantage
  • Enthusiastic, driven and confident: the ability to clearly and persuasively articulate the company’s mission and market opportunity.
