As a Learning Design Specialist in the International Retail Training & Development Team, you are responsible for the full design and development of learning programs including asset creation such as videos. You work with different program managers who are subject matter experts, to gather learning needs and objectives. You create impact with innovative content creation that fit the need of our target audience.

Furthermore, you will:

  • Design and develop engaging, on-brand blended learning programs for retail globally including other LOB’s, by using a variety of earning formats such as e-learning courses, video’s, classroom presentations and webinars.
  • Work with subject matter experts to gather learning needs and requirements.
  • Plan projects according to the strategic roadmap.
  • Act as a consultant to advice on learning methods and needs.
  • Drive operational excellence by initiating process improvements and improve ways of working.
  • Perform gap analysis to update and maintain our learning curriculum and transfer knowledge and skills, supported by data from Mystery Shop, LMS and PowerBI (KPI) dashboard for our various Lines of Businesses
  • Write scripts, direct actors, produce and edit videos.
  • Use Your creative mindset and magic to translate business needs into excellent learning programs.
  • Make sure that what you develop is grounded in adult learning principles and is spot on, intuitive and delightful for our learners.

  • At least 3 years of work experience in instructional design using various innovative methods (e-learning, micro-learning, gamification, performance support, video production, design etc.)
  • Experience with video production and editting (preferbly a video production certificate)
  • Knowledge of didactics, adult learning, 70:20:10 model, knowledge transfer principles
  • Experience in project management, stakeholder management and implementation of learning solutions
  • Experience with learning management systems, content authoring tools, and rapid design and video editing tools
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

You will spend most of your time at our Amsterdam Central Head Office. We hope you can appreciate the view of one of the most iconic Amsterdam canals.

You will report to the Senior Learning Design & Operations Manager and will be part of the International Training & Development team.
