Elsevier Foundation Internship (Global Communications) Start date between May 2024 and August 2024, for 6 months Are you an enthusiastic communicator with an interest in sustainability and a passion for science and research? Do you want to learn about CSR, sustainability and communications in an international business environment? Here’s your chance! Elsevier’s Global Communications department is offering a 6-month communications internship position within its Elsevier Foundation & Sustainability Partnerships group. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in the fields of corporate responsibility, sustainability and corporate communications. You will assist the team with administering and promoting the Elsevier Foundation’s inclusive research and health programs and Elsevier’s sustainability and corporate responsibility program, which centers on unique contributions to sustainable development in gender, health, climate and reducing inequalities. Responsibilities Writing original content for internal and external uses (including Elsevier’s online magazine, Elsevier Connect) and engaging with the Foundation’s online communities on X and LinkedIn; Helping to manage the Elsevier Foundation’s activities around our 20+ partnerships will also be a prominent part of the role; Finding opportunities to learn about- and contribute to different types of partner engagement and communications, in a global business environment focused on science, health and technology; Reporting to the Elsevier Foundation Program Officer. You will work a minimum of 4 days a week, 2 onsite at the Amsterdam office, starting between May and August 2024, for 6 months (exact dates to be discussed). Elsevier’s working language is English. Requirements Be enrolled as an MA student in a field preferably related to communication. Applicants with backgrounds in marketing, corporate sustainability, or international development are also encouraged to apply. Be enrolled in a university program to be eligible for an internship, in accordance with Dutch law, get credits for this internship from your university; Be a native or near-native English speaker with strong communications skills, both in writing and in everyday engagements with internal and external stakeholders; Be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) Have solid organizational skills, the ability to take initiative; Have attention to detail and ability to work independently; Be willing learn, flexible work attitude, and able to work under (time) pressure Be proficient with Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign is a plus About the Elsevier Foundation The Elsevier Foundation is a corporate not-for-profit 501(c)(3), funded by Elsevier, a global information analytics business specialized in science and health.
