We're looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as an aspiring Junior BI Engineer. The ideal position to start a career in BI. You'll be enabling Check teams by improving our business intelligence systems. You'll prepare and transform data for analytics and support on complex analytical challenges.
The role.
As a Junior or Intern BI Engineer you'll get to work with millions of rows of data, generated by the Check platform. This ranges from actions performed in our app by hundreds of thousands of users to updates we receive from our thousands of vehicles on the streets throughout The Netherlands. It also includes financial data, data feeds for external purposes, data generated in external tooling, and many other sources.
Together with Check's Product Owner you'll identify requirements for analytical needs, such as dashboards, coming from our business teams. You'll work with our experienced Data Engineer on translating needs into data requirements. You'll develop into a key contact person with regards to data.
This is what you'll learn
- Translate business needs into data mart requirements
- Transform and combine data for optimal analytical usability
- Build and maintain dashboards and other BI solutions
- Tackle complex analytical challenges
Requirements.
- HBO or university education in technology, data or similar
- 0-2 years of experience in an engineer or analytical position
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with or willing to learn Python, Superset, Tableau, Excel
Details
The internship starts at September 1st, 2024 and runs 6 months. After evaluation, there's the potential offer to stat full-time at Check. You won't start your internship alone. Check is opening up three positions in the Product Team:
- Internship BI Engineering
- Internship Backend Engineering
- Internship Frontend Engineering
No Visa Sponsorship possible for this position
A valid work permit is required for this position. Visa sponsorship is not possible. Candidate is also required to currently be living in the Netherlands is this is not a remote position.
