This doesn’t mean we’re looking for yes-men or flatterers, though. New employees should challenge us and contribute new ideas as well as refreshing perspectives. Sports are a great way to clear your mind, challenge each other and have fun. At IG&H, employees engage in a variety of sports together. For example, we have a soccer team and a cycle racing group. And we frequently participate in sports events. Examples include the Coast to Coast race in Scotland and the triathlon in Portugal.
Co-workers often work out together as well. To facilitate this, we’re building a gym in our new Utrecht office. Besides sports activities, creativity can be a source of relaxation. For music lovers, we have an IG&H band that regularly performs at company events.
At IG&H we love a good party. Our yearly company events, FIT and Outlook, are ideal for celebrating successes and facilitating camaraderie. Both events offer content-oriented and social programs and revolve around a certain theme.
The FIT event focuses on Fun, Inspiration, and Training. Outlook, on the other hand, is about looking back, celebrating successes, and dwelling on the new year. Attending these events together strengthens relationships. The content-oriented program establishes a common language, while the evening program encourages employees to spend time with each other outside a business context, fostering friendships between them.
