This non-thesis internship provides project management assistance and operational support to a global project team, helping ensure smooth execution of strategic, operational and administrative processes.
Your role
- Supports the management of departmental processes that indirectly impact Philips’ med-tech products (e.g., audit activities within Finance) by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Assists with daily departmental operations, contributing to strategic, operational, and administrative tasks while maintaining agility in a dynamic, continuously improving environment.
- Conducts analysis on relevant topics, exploring industry trends, best practices, and the competitive landscape to generate insights that inform ongoing projects and strategic initiatives.
- Performs data analysis on departmental projects, identifying trends and key findings, and providing actionable recommendations that support data-driven decision-making.
- Participates actively in team meetings, offering innovative ideas, recording detailed minutes, and ensuring accurate follow-up on action items to enhance collaboration and accountability.
- Prepares and delivers reports or presentations for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with management requirements.
- Organizes and maintains departmental documentation, implementing effective filing systems and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards to support operational efficiency.
- Stays current with industry developments and emerging trends, actively developing relevant technical and commercial skills to foster continuous learning and growth.
You're the right fit if
- You are currently enrolled as a student (e.g., business, management, finance, healthcare administration, or related field).
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- You have basic data analysis skills (Excel/Sheets/PowerPoint), attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- You are proactive, organized, collaborative, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Nice to have: previous internship, project work, or coursework involving coordination, research, or administrative responsibilities.
How we work together
We believe we are better together than apart. Office-based internship teams are expected to be in person at least 3 days per week.
In return, we offer you
- Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on your education level and if you need to relocate to The Netherlands. Part-time internships receive the allowance pro-rata.
- Housing compensation: if you need to relocate near our office, a monthly allowance of €300 net if the location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, or €255 net for all other Philips locations. Eligibility requires a rental contract from your landlord, and your usual home-work travel distance must be more than 50 km or 1.5 hours of travel time (one way).
- Travel compensation: if you are not eligible for a free public transport card, you will receive a maximum of €192 net as a monthly allowance.
- Paid holidays per internship term.
