Senior Manager – Technology Regulatory Enablement

Job Summary

The Senior Manager – Technology Regulatory Enablement will ensure that Equinix meets its technology regulatory obligations, particularly in the areas of privacy, cybersecurity, operational resilience and AI governance.

The successful candidate will serve as a critical link across regulatory, information security, information technology, and business teams to lead their collaborative efforts for translating regulatory and legal requirements into programs of work as well as actionable technical and operational solutions.

This role will act as the conduit between the legal and technical teams to drive collaboration and alignment of regulatory, risk management, and operational processes across the enterprise for privacy, cybersecurity, digital operational resilience and AI governance initiatives, supporting the development of integrated frameworks and tools as well as ensuring that regulatory reporting obligations are met.

This position will also contribute to global digital security and resilience efforts, ensuring compliance with government certifications and industry-leading standards, and enabling customer trust and regulatory confidence.

Responsibilities

Regulatory

  • Monitor regulatory developments and advise leadership on regulatory implications, enabling proactive risk management
  • Translate regulatory and legal requirements into programs of work as well as actionable technical and operational solutions across systems and processes
  • Ensure alignment across stakeholders for compliance with regulatory requirements, international standards, internal controls, and organizational initiatives, particularly for the areas of privacy, cybersecurity, operational resilience and AI governance (e.g. GDPR, DORA, NIS2)
  • Lead or contribute to the creation and refinement of processes, standards, and policies for technology regulatory enablement, particularly for privacy, cyber security, operational resilience, and AI governance
  • Shape, drive, and champion enterprise-wide governance, frameworks, and strategic initiatives for technology regulatory enablement, particularly the integration of privacy, cybersecurity, operational resilience, and AI governance requirements into technology and business processes to meet global regulations and industry standards
  • Develop and support the implementation of training programs to realise enterprise-wide consistency and support for technology enablement, particularly for the areas of privacy, cybersecurity, operational resilience and AI governance
  • Lead or contribute to the preparation and submission of periodical regulatory reports and crafting and delivering responses to relevant regulators
  • Act as part of the global incident management and reporting team, providing technical advice/input on the drafting of incident reports and responses to customers/regulators

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Collaborate across regulatory, legal, information security, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure enterprise-wide technology regulatory compliance, promote best practice, and drive global standardization and continuous improvement across privacy, cybersecurity, operational security, and AI governance
  • Help define roadmap priorities and communicate plans with clarity to stakeholders and partner teams

Project, Program, & Portfolio Execution

  • Ensure commitments are clearly understood, tracked, and met with KPI and progress reporting
  • Help define roadmap priorities and communicate plans with clarity to stakeholders and partner teams
  • Monitor and report program health, milestones, risks, and resource needs using PMO or custom tools/templates
  • Design and deliver KPI and progress reporting

Qualifications

  • Proven years of experience in information security, technology risk management, and/or technology compliance roles with experience bridging legal and technical domains
  • Experience of regulatory framework implementation (e.g. GDPR, DORA, NIS2)
  • Strong understanding of technology risk and regulations, particularly relating to privacy, cybersecurity, operational resilience, and AI governance
  • Strong communications skills (oral and written) with a history of successfully engaging with multiple levels of leadership
  • Experience guiding teams through complex remediation, modernisation and/or change programs
  • Experience with compliance tools (e.g. OneTrust, ServiceNow) and risk management frameworks
  • Strong understanding of technology systems such as networks, applications, servers, virtualization, cloud, authentication, and emerging technologies
  • Familiarity with enterprise change management best practices
  • Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Degrees and/or certifications in information security, technology compliance, or similar preferred
  • Degrees and/or certifications in program management or similar preferred
