This is your daily action

As a Senior GL Accountant within our Finance Services team, you play a key role in the monthly closing process for housing costs across all stores, distribution centers (DCs), and international headquarters (IHQs). Your focus is on delivering high-quality financial reporting and actionable insights that support our rapid international growth.

You own the accounting for fixed assets, leased assets, and related housing cost components- rent, service charges, utilities for your specific country. You ensure consistency in accounting practices across countries, maintain compliance with IFRS16, and collaborate with local finance and administrative teams to resolve exceptions and align on expectations. As we expand into new markets, you'll also support testing activities to establish robust accounting processes for new countries.

Through variance analysis and balance sheet reviews, you provide deep insight into cost drivers and support planning, budgeting, and audit readiness. With over 3,000 stores and 15 DCs, your ability to translate complex financial data into clear, reliable insights is essential to informed decision-making across the business. You'll also coach and mentor junior accountants in the team, helping them develop their technical skills and understanding of our processes.

This is you

You are flexible, proactive, analytical, on top of things, can work in a fast-paced environment, and are a team player. In addition, during hectic and busy periods, you make the extra effort to ensure your work gets done. Since working with stakeholders and other teams is part of the job, you are also an excellent communicator. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and have a natural ability to coach and develop junior team members.
In addition you have:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in the finance field
• At least 5 years of experience using accounting systems
• Strong experience with fixed asset accounting (essential)
• Experience coaching or mentoring junior team members
• Experience supporting finance processes during expansion or system implementations is a plus
• Good command of English, other European languages are an advantage.
